How The Current Automobile Developed From The Beginning.

The history of the automobile that we have today can be an enjoyable narrative since the current automobile must have come from far.The modern automobile is comfortable, classic and with has a nice appearance. There are various models depending on the cost and comfort you need. Hence, here are the events that occurred from the development of the first car to the current automobile.

The first automobile dated from the year 1769.The automobiles that were being used during this time looked different from the cars that we have today. They looked more of horse carriages. Later, people decided it would be a good idea to have carriages that do not need horses to pull them. They discovered that the solution was to make carriages with engines. The carriages were now referred to as horseless carriages but did not take off as expected.

Years later in 1876, an internal engine was invented that consumed petrol energy by a German engineer called Nikolas Otto. A usable engine was made at this time. The engine was later on tested on an experimental car that consumed petrol as the main fuel source.

In 1885, mechanics and engineers worked on the cars that used petrol and made them available to the public.Today’s cars cannot be compared with those cars since they had only three wheels which were similar to those on a bicycle and they were very slow as well.

The first car that was reliable was made in 1908. it was known as Ford Model T and driving it was much better. There was mass production of the car, and hence it was available to people. The car was finally affordable to more families as the mass production reduced the production cost thereby reducing the cost of the car.

The car that became popular for the first time was Volkswagen Beetle. Due to the Second World War, the manufacture of Volkswagen beetle was stopped after it had been designed in the 1930s by Ferdinand Porsche. Many people became familiar with the car because it was affordable, strong and could not break easily.

Several people in the world had better earnings in the 1950s and the only way they could show their wealth was to buy big cars and customize them. Among the car parts that were being used were fins, tail lights, electronic windows and they became famous.Unfortunately, the large cars used to consume a lot of petrol though the price of petrol was not high and people had income.

Cars started becoming famous in the 1960s with people like James Bond who used to drive Aston Martin. But, it was not until the 1980s when many people in the world started having cars.
